FAQ

General

Legion Run is a thrilling up to 5km run with obstacles of mud, fire, ice and barbed wire, held in different countries around the globe. Our events are the ultimate opportunity for you to push past your physical and mental limits, and share some epic moments with friends, co-workers or family.

Absolutely not. Legion Run is not a race. It’s a personal challenge which, in turn, requires some pretty good teamwork. All you get at the finish line is a beer, a "WE ARE LEGION" t-shirt, a finisher medal and the genuine pride that you’ve made it. & if you beat the Chosen, you get a reward!

Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome. Fit, unfit, male or female – everyone can be Legion and everyone would make it to the finish line. We've even had participants at the age of 87!

Not necessarily. If you don’t have a team, do not hesitate to buy an individual ticket. You will not be bored, not even for a minute. You will run side-by-side with hundreds of other participants and most probably make some spontaneous friendships along the course (yep, among the Legion Run’s side effects).

Some follow strict diets and workout routines. Others eat Lays potato chips and start drinking beer at noon every day. Either training plan is fine by us.

Absolutely. Though we have numerous water obstacles, none of them requires even basic swimming skills.

Unfortunately not. Our participants may act like grown-up children most of the time, but they all are over 18.

Please email info@legionrun.com with your full name, phone number, media organization and role not later than a week before the event date.

Legion Run reserves the right to modify or change its venues, dates, wave times, courses, fees, size of waves, and any other event details, to update website content or policies as needed, without prior notice. By accessing this website or signing up to a Legion Run event you agree to these terms. We update our website periodically so check your event page frequently as it may get updated with more current information than first seen upon registering.

Registration Process

You’ll need to fill in your full name, birth datе and email. Team registrations require also a team name and a secret code.

To see a specific deadline for online registrations, go to our events schedule and click your chosen event. Note that the closer to the event you get, the more prices will increase. Signing up early will save you money and make it easier to recruit friends.

You will receive a confirmation mail. This is your ticket. Please print it, read the attached waiver carefully and then sign it. Additionally, in the week before the event we will send you two more emails with useful info such as recommendations, list of must-haves and directions how to reach us.

Please, check your spam folder first. If you still can’t find the confirmation mail, give us a shout at hongkong@legionrun.com and we’ll fix things up.

You can, but not later than two weeks before the event date and only if your preferred wave is still open for registrations.

Yes. Changes are possible up to two weeks before the event date. Change fees may apply.

We only issue refunds if we cancel the event. We do not provide refunds under any other circumstances.

If you’ve missed your chance to sign up online, you can still buy a ticket at the door on the event day. To see the prices, go to our events schedule and click your chosen event.

Team Registration

All you need to do is pay for the first ticket. During the signup process you will be asked to set up the team name, generate a secret code and...voilà! Your team has just been created. Now others can join whenever they want by entering the secret team code. Upon registration everyone pays for their own ticket, but benefits from the actual team discount.

Just fill in the registration form, then add your team name and the secret team code in the appropriate fields. As simple as that.

It’s entirely up to you. Of course, the more the merrier!

Sure. Let us know at hongkong@legionrun.com and we will try to add you to your team’s wave.

You pay one by one, just enter your team's secret code!

You bet there are! Team discounts are available to teams of 10 or more participants. Get in touch at hongkong@legionrun.com.

Pricing and Payments

It depends. Group tickets are cheaper than individual ones. Besides, prices increase the closer to the event you wait. Signing up early will save you money and make it easier to recruit friends. View our Hong Kong event details here.

There could be some minor differences depending on the specific event and venue. The registration fee always includes your entry, a free beer, an exclusive “WE ARE LEGION” t-shirt and a unique finisher that only participants get. Showers and drinking water along the course are also covered. To see the parking and bag check policy for a chosen event, just choose it from our events schedule.

Tickets are available exclusively online up to 14 days before the event date. You can buy tickets at the door as well, but keep in mind that prices will be significantly more expensive than they are online.

Sorry, we don’t issue refunds, unless we cancel an event.

Event Day

Make sure that you arrive at the check-in at least an hour before your wave time. Allow yourself enough time to park, check in and warm up. Keep in mind that, if you come late, you may not be able to join your team and will have to run in the next available wave.

Bring a valid government ID (ID card, passport or driving license) plus your printed and signed ticket.

Anything you feel comfortable wearing while running 5k, jumping, climbing and crawling through mud is fine. Don’t think so much about looking cool, be practical and wear clothes you won’t be worried about.

Yes, you will be able to buy a ticket in cash at the door. To see the prices, go to our events details below.

Finish time depends on you and your team, on whether you are competitive by nature or you are doing the course just for the fun of it. The average finish time is 1,5 hour.

Of course! Remember?! This is not a competition, so there are no penalties for bypassing. In fact, we actively encourage you to skip obstacles if you are even the slightest bit unsure. The idea is to challenge yourself and have fun, not to terrify yourself or get hurt in any way.

Along the course there will be several stations with free water for all the participants. Besides, there will be food and drink vendors on site offering something for everyone, so please don’t bring food and drinks with you.

Yes. Several first aid teams will be positioned along the course, ready to assist immediately if medical help is needed.

Why after?! The whole event itself is a priceless party – there will be food, drinks, music and some happy muddy creatures wandering around.

Transport, Parking, Facilities

The location map and GPS coordinates are available here. Additionally, in the week before the event we will email you the directions to the site. In the meantime, keep an eye on the Facebook page of your event for more news and updates.

We don’t. However feel free to use the Facebook page of your event to search for or post ride-sharing announcements.

Yes but very limited public parking. We suggest coming via ferry or MTR+bus.

Yes, there will be a secure drop off area. For more info please go to our events schedule and click your chosen event.

Yes. Do not expect five-star facilities though. You’ll be able to hose down mud and sweat at the end of the course. We kindly ask all participants to use the shower facilities wisely in order to avoid unnecessary queues.

Spectators

Sure! The more the merrier! Spectators are more than welcome to support participants, follow them along the course, and take countless shots of them jumping over fire or crawling under barbed wire. The fun is definitely worth it.

That depends on the specific event and venue. Spectator tickets are available only at the door on the event day. To see the spectator policy for a chosen event, just choose it from our events schedule.

Hell yeah! We are among the few in the obstacle course industry that allow spectators to fully experience the event thrill. They are allowed to follow the participants along the course and take pictures. But please note that spectators must not get in the way of participants, attempt or complete obstacles.

As many as you want! But if you represent a media, you need to request accreditation and provide us a copy of the footage afterwards.

Sure they can. But if you want to enjoy the Legion Run vibe to its fullest, we recommend you to leave the little darlings at home.

Sorry, no pets are permitted on the site because of the risks and impacts involved. Dogs are awesome, however it’s not possible to predict their reaction to the crowd and all the adrenaline around.
